The SPF BOE will not properly educate our children. If you want a decent education for your children, send them to SBA or UCHS.

The current plan is unreasonable. The cost of YMCA is exceedingly high when considering the “support” they provide. This will lead to increased financial stress on parents. When I was sending my son to before and after care it was 586.00/month and that was 3 days a week. The cost under this school plan could easily be double which is fine if it will be supplemented by the school district and if our tax dollars will be deployed to offset costs.

If children are going to be in school potentially exposed, how does being there 2 days rather than 5 mitigate the risk? They are already going and if there is a reason - why the half day if they are already there? Ofcourse I am concerned about my child’s safety but am also concerned about the lack
Of social interaction and educational progress by only having him in school 8 hours a week. Will the virtual portions be taught by the teacher in a classroom setting and give the children an interactive experience for the hours they’re home? Just curious as I didn’t see detail regarding the at home portion.

Absolutely agree! Thank you for putting this out here and standing up by lower class and single parent families who cannot afford to pay for extra care. Very clear and professional thoughts. Greatly stated

Kids need consistency and a higher level of a teaching plan for this new school year. For this age range, having a consistent 5 days at 4 hours a day with supplemental time at home will be the best plan for most children. My son is a great student, but even he fell apart by the end of last year and needed more.

I believe that the current plan for k-4 grade students is not going to work our best for the students. They need more consistency and having 5 days weeks of in-person, single session class days are necessary.
I have a son going in to 1st grade at School Ons and I know without a doubt that this is a better alternative that the 2 single session days (with the additional day every other Wednesday).
Please open up options and reconsider the quality of the education for our children!
Thank you!
