You have visited the Matamoros immigrant encampment,  and have witnessed the pain and suffering of hundreds of families who have been detained for up to two years while awaiting a more fair and just asylum hearing they have been  cruelly denied by the outgoing Administration. Dr. Biden, as a mother, educator, person  of faith, you can use your influence to remedy this nightmare as one step toward making the US  immigration system open doors to those who face violence and death in the countries from which they have fled.
