The OnRamps courses through UT Austin are college classes that require very intensive and strategic skills. Unfortunately, the Richardson Independent School District have viewed these courses as equivalent to Pre-AP although the level of challenges they possess would be considered AP. In fact, it is mostly safe to say that the OnRamps courses are of more difficulty than AP courses for the main point that AP is college-based and OnRamps is an actual college class. Many would say that AP courses prepare you for college, however how can you be prepared for college classes when you are already taking them through OnRamps courses? Some of my peers and I have experienced the difference between AP and OnRamps and can not understand why this class is being scored 5 points less than a class that is of equal challenge if not less. Please help my fellow peers and I to get the points we deserve for stepping up to the plate and accepting this provocation.
