We, the Proviso Township High School District 209 Community, are demanding safer schools for our children, staff, and community members. The safety concerns have clearly escalated and the need presented should be given the highest level of urgency at all three schools.
We specifically ask for the following:
1. The hiring of five more security officers at both Proviso East and Proviso West. Two more hired at PMSA.
2. Improved communication and accountability with the public regarding all incidents that threaten the safety and health of our students by creating a mass communication system for alerts as well as a dashboard to effectively track the progress of any interventions attempted.
3. Improved communication and contact tracing for all health alerts regarding Covid 19, while maintaining the privacy of those students and teachers
