Encore was originally a time for students to catch up on a class they were failing, finish homework, club meetings, or even some extra time to hang out with friends during the already limited time of school hours. With encore scheduled out for every day of the week, this creates a damper on students. 

Upperclassmen especially are struggling with the new schedule. Some of us have part-time jobs, extracurricular activities after school, or simply don't have the resources for homework help. We just don't have enough time after school to work on homework, and encore was the perfect time to do it.

Why would I want to sit in a class I am completely caught up in instead of catching up in a class I am struggling in? It almost feels like we are in junior high again, where is our freedom? What happened to "being more involved in our school?" You can't expect to try and shove every single club meeting on one day, then tell us to "pick one."

Instead of trying to keep track of us, why not care more about the well-being of us, the student body? Many of us relied on the leniency of encore, and to take that away is taking away our free time after school or during the already demanding school day. We need to take back the school we once knew and loved, and take back the encore that benefited us all.
