Blood is blood, and all is screened. Banning gay men from donating blood is discriminatory, while also limiting those who'd like to donate (must be heterosexual or abstinent/celibate queer men). AIDS/HIV is not a "gay disease"; banning sexually active gay men from donating blood is simply discrimination, and needs to stop.

I'm signing because I believe it's time we throw away antiquated legislation in lieu of updated statistical data.

I think this ban is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of!! Blood is blood as long as it's healthy blood. It doesn't matter who it came from. If it can save a life, what the hell is the problem. It 2016 for frig sakes!! All these homophobic losers need to get their heads out of their asses and think of the big picture!!!

I fully support Canadian blood services and my mother is a proud nurse working for you. We should all be given the opportunity to save lives.
