Access to Universal healthcare is problematic even for people who live in the richest countries in the world. The less developed a country, the higher is the 'out of pocket' spending for healthcare. Poor health limits human potential at all levels from birth to adulthood, significantly decreasing both length and quality of life.
Quality healthcare does not have to be priced out of reach for most, but working alongside, policy makers, the Pharma industries, technology, healthcare providers and economists we can innovate to disrupt the way in which healthcare is financed and delivered around the world today. The impact of poor quality of healthcare has the iceberg effect with much of the effects and causes that are hidden and hence not addressed. If the true impact was seen compared to numbers of lives claimed in pandemics, genocides or migrant displacements the world would have reacted differently and not indifferently. None of us are spared and hence every individual's concern counts. Let us unite to make the change we want become a reality in our lifetime.
