Revoke Israel's Eurovision Win Following the Military Attacks in Gaza

Following the Israeli military's response to protests on the Palestinian border in Gaza, which has left over 100 people dead, we believe that the victory awarded to Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 should be revoked.

Eurovision is an inherently political stage, and it is impossible to remove the nation, its government, and its actions from a representational performance. To represent your country on an international stage is to represent its fouls, along with the culture and vibrant history of the nation.

The gross violation of human rights at the hands of the Israeli military must not go unseen, nor without consequence. The revocation - or voluntary renunciation by Netta Barlzilai - of the Eurovision winning title would prove that she and Eurovision and the EBU stand for what they believe in - peace and unity, the ideology under which the ESC was founded in the midst of the Cold War in 1953.

Palestine must be freed of both the Israeli military and Hamas.
