The way Personal Support workers are distributed to clients in the community needs to be changed. The amount of hours each client needs are unable to increase. The procument status has been frozen since 2009. The companies that offer service and the LHIN do not co-ordinate services together. The front line workers are paid to little for the job they are doing. The municipalities could take on some responsibility by creating a service that is offered by the government, doctors, local PSW service providers or combination of all three. If we could have a public hearing on what is going on with the transition from CCAC back to LHIN and why it failed. Then we need to restructure Personal Support in Ontario
