We respectfully request that Room 108 in Potter Hall be renamed "The William G. Mack Rehearsal Hall."  William G. Mack was the Director of Bands at Missouri Western from 1977 to 1987.  Under his leadership the instrumental music program enjoyed an enormous increase in enrollment, and helped bring state and regional attention to Missouri Western.  His bands performed twice for the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference and the Nebraska Music Educators Conference.

Students that studied under Mr. Mack have gone on to have tremendous careers in both the public schools, and College/University programs throughout the country.  Many elements of the curriculum he helped develop in the Instrumental Education program are still in use today.

It is time to permanently recognize/honor Mr. Mack for all that he has done not only for Missouri Western, but for the hundreds of students he has helped over his years.
