To whom it may concern,

the medical students, class of 2024 find the sudden 10% additional fees on non cash payments to be unwarranted and uncalled for. This increase corresponds to approximately 9 million Lebanese pounds and serves as an additional financial hurdle.

Moreover, it was brought to our attention by chance- and not through an official university announcement- that penalties on late payments were reintroduced without prior disclosure. We find this measure to be unprofessional and dissonant with the current financial situation. 

Both decisions represent added stress on an academic year that is already precarious. Additionally we are penalized and held accountable for something we have no control over as banks have already set limits for cash withdrawals and monetary transfers. We hope for reforms and tangible changes.
