Our mascot, the "Warriors", is based off of the Jeaga Tribe of Tequesta area, who were completely wiped out by the very people who use their image as a mascot now. This is dehumanizing, offensive, and enforces negative stereotypes about Indigenous people. We need to show that we care about creating an environment of diversity and respect. We need to make this change that has been long overdue.
