Create guidelines, educational objectives and curricula for PN and PGAD
This petition had 380 supporters
Currently there are no guidelines, educational objectives or curricula for Pudendal Neuralgia or for Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder. Sufferers are often informed by their gynecologists that the excruciating genital nerve pain that they are suffering from is 'in their head'. Pain that goes untreated centralizes and leads to a lifetime of suffering and oftentimes to suicide. Currently ACOG is not creating guidelines, educational objectives and curricula under the premise that there is not enough scholarly research to guide them. However, we respectfully disagree that the scholarly research doesn’t exist as we have found many peer reviewed scholarly articles ourselves. We urge and encourage ACOG to embrace the task of creating guidelines, educational objectives and curricula immediately. With early diagnosis and treatment millions of lives will be spared from agony and devastation.
