They are great tools, however, children at these ages need continued development in their writing motor skills, as well as, the social interaction with other students and teachers. They can't do the with heads crooked down staring at a screen. The failed integration and scoring of the ISTEP process should be enough to conclude that technology is not always the best answer. How much more time has to be wasted in the classroom by undertrained teachers attempting to troubleshoot technology?
