There are so many issues I have with this requirement. #1, I do not feel it is appropriate for young children to be required to use, care for and provide an Ipad for there educational progress. There are alternatives, and I think we should explore other things that will not financially burdon families.

It is, simply, unnecessary! We've eliminated cursive, at the expense of our children, who won't know how to send a proper Thank-You note; As well as the access to addresses to even put them in the mail!

Even though I believe that technology is important, I have spoken with other parents and kids who have been using technology in Fishers schools and have said that their eyes hurt, they get frequent headaches, technology is unreliable and breaks often, too many passwords. I feel that it takes kids minutes to learn technology, they don't need to start using it now. Elementary school is for working in groups, learning to socialize, read books, write. If this roll out stays, we will seriously consider moving districts. Two of my kids friends are moving to charter school because of this roll out. Sad.

My 5 year old is viewing YouTube videos about sex with fellow classmates!! During class! School is the last place we should have to worry about what our children get exposed to on the Internet!

My son just had an incident at school and was exposed to appropriate material via Internet. There is obviously a glitch in the system and lack of transparency and communication from the school. My sons innocence has just been tainted. Why roll out a program like this when ALL risks are not covered!! If there is even an opportunity of inappropriate exposure to our young children why is this being rolled out with any concern!!

I don't think my K student needs an iPad & if she does why can't she use the iPad mini she already has.

I have not seen enough compelling evidence to demonstrate that this initiative will be beneficial enough to warrant the financial and time burden it will place on my family with four young children. I would not make the decision to purchase these devices for my children unless required to by the school system, and I feel that as the parent I should have more control over what types of investments my family makes with our limited financial resources and what types of technology we spend time with in our home. Thank you in advance for considering the diverse needs of families when making your decision.

I have a fifth grader and I feel they use iPad too much. I would like to see my first grader to focus on school not iPad.

Impacts social interaction with both my kids. Horrible experience.
