A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in Hon' Bombay High Court seeking directions to reduce the school fees by 50% taking into consideration the current outbreak of COVID-19 which has left many people with concerns about the spread of this new disease, fear for their lives, families and unemployment. The said petition is filed by Social Activist Dr. Binu Varghese through Adv Padma Shelatkar, after thousands of parents approached and sought relief for the same. 
The said petition is requested to be heard and listed on urgent basis before the Hon'ble Chief Justice of Bombay High court and other respected Judges. :

Requesting the Hon'ble Court for 

1) Directions to be issued to the schools, not to charge more than 50% of the fees in this academic year taking into consideration the pandemic and its effects,

2) Directions to waive off the school fees during pandemic lockdown starting from 23" March 2020.

3) Directions to waive off the online sessions for primary section schools from std 1st to 4th.

4) Directions to schools to less make projects where sometimes unnecessary expenses are levied for this academic year,

5) Directions to State government to take due care and see that the schools not to violate if found guilty strict actions to be taken and no schools to reopen till the innovation of vaccine for COVID-19 virus;
