Are you aware that The Medical Board of Australia is proposing to issue restrictive guidelines for medical practitioners?

This would limit the choice of treatment by Doctors of their patients 

The Options presented by the Medical Board are:

Option 1 ~ The Current Regulation [i.e. Good Medical Practice] of medical practitioners who provide complementary and unconventional medicine and emerging treatments is more than adequate

Option 2 ~ [The Medical Board's preferred option]

Taking Away Your Fundamental Rights ~ Your Freedom of Choice

a. it reduces consumer choice

b. it restricts appropriately trained medical practitioners’ practice

c. it undermines the authority of a medical practitioner to make decision and have the freedom to act in accordance with their professional knowledge

d. it would result in significant cost increases for consumers or medical practitioners

e. it would restrict existing, accepted practice that may fall within the definition of complementary and unconventional medicine and emerging treatments

f. it would stifle innovation or clinical research and trials and put Australia behind leading USA accepted complementary/functional accredited medicine practices

g. it would have a major impact on practitioners and consumers and would not provide benefits to the community and remove freedom of choice

Please let your voice be heard before it's too late by objecting to the current Medical Board's Proposal
