Nearly every week on Sam Houston State Campus, registered students and faculty have to endure interacting and passing people who would have us be ashamed of who we are. These people come onto campus shouting and disturbing the peace as we simply walk from one part of our campus to another.
We as the students and faculty of SHSU are taking an opportunity to speak out against the intolerance, hatred and oppression just as our President Dr. Alisa White said we ought to. We will not stand by as these people go unaddressed and continue to harass us and our fellow SHSU family.
