Attendance shouldn’t be a factor in graduating with your class!!

I was just told that my daughter wasn’t going to be able to participate in the graduation ceremony due to an attendance percentage that she currently has in school. I don’t think it’s fair that these children who try their best to deliver their best efforts in school should be told they cannot participate in an event that they have worked for, for so long because of something like attendances! This has become a set back in my child’s willingness to do good in school! My daughter as well as many other students have struggled in school resulting in bringing home report cards with failing grades, and managing to bring their grades up to a 2.0 grade point average or better only to be rewarded with negative results! It’s their right to walk in the ceremony with their class when they’ve worked so hard for passing grades! For whatever the reasons might be that they couldn’t keep a perfect attendance, don’t punish them for that, reward them for continuing to do their best at keeping their grades up so they have something to look forward to and that they can work for.
