DPD must stop charging workers £150 for missing work - it's a policy that kills

On 5th February, the Guardian shared a story of a DPD driver dying from diabetes after he missed medical appointments, fearing a £150 fine for missing work. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/feb/05/courier-who-was-fined-for-day-off-to-see-doctor-dies-from-diabetes
The aim of this petition is simple. DPD must immediately cease charging fines for not being able to work, or missing work for any other reason. This is a deliberate subversion of the workers' rights that protect many of us from such awful exploitation.
