Recently, the bullies won. A library event called “Drag Queen Bingo,” was cancelled at my local library due to threats and harassment of the establishment, community and library board. An event aimed towards offering the LGBTQ community a safe space for freedom of expression and support was denied by those who simply were uncomfortable with the idea of being able to offer a safe haven to those they are not familiar with in their community. The year is 2022 and we are not going anywhere.

Please stand with us in support of the majority of Downers Grove, Illinois and sign to show your support of rescheduling this event to show our LGBTQ youth that we have their backs, will offer resources and support, and that we refuse to let the bullies win.
