Keep the Dover District Council Helpdesk in Deal Library open
This petition had 866 supporters
As reported in the East Kent Mercury, the Conservative cabinet at Dover District Council are planning to close the Council helpdesk which is available Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
This means that anyone in Deal who has to speak to the council about bins, benefits, parking, council tax, or anything else will HAVE to go to Whitfield. The bus to Whitfield costs £6.40 return.
The staff in the Library provide excellent face to face help to almost 250 each week, which is almost half the population of Deal every year
