Short term rentals in Douglas County Colorado are not allowed. The County is missing out on potentially millions of dollars in tourism money every year by not allowing Airbnb/VRBO rentals. Not to mention all the tax revenues such tourism could bring. Millions of people use platforms such as Airbnb and VRBO to have a different, more personal experience on vacation than just that of a hotel room. Homeowners in Douglas County Colorado are missing out on revenue. Colorado has a 6 Billion dollar tourism industry per year. Homeowners with an extra bedroom or extra unit in their home are missing out on hundreds, if not thousands of extra dollars every month they could be making from their spare bedroom or unit. This is money that would and could be reinvested into our local community and businesses. Help us please show the Douglas County Government that short term rentals are a good thing for the State of Colorado and for the locality of Douglas county.
