Danny Donovan started this petition to Douglas County circuit court Tuscola,Illinois

This petition is to plead with Douglas County to drop a legal prescription drug charge against me that was imposed by Deputy Homan on Oct 13, 2018.  Persuant to Illinois public act. Illinois P A 98-0063. SEC 40.E. e) Nothing in this Act shall prohibit a non-resident fromtransporting a concealed firearm within his or her vehicle inIllinois, if the concealed firearm remains within his or hervehicle and the non-resident: (1) is not prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm under federal law; (2) is eligible to carry a firearm in public under the laws of his or her state or territory of residence; and (3) is not in possession of a license under this Act. If the non-resident leaves his or her vehicle unattended,he or she shall store the firearm within a locked vehicle or locked container within the vehicle in accordance with subsection (b) of Section 65 of this Act. PA 97 -1167 sec 1.1.2. "Addicted to narcotics" does not include possession or use of a prescribed controlled substance under the direction and authority of a physician or other person authorized to prescribe the controlled substance when the controlled substance is used in the prescribed manner. I was weaving because I was tired not because of drugs. I had just started prostate cancer treatment on Oct 10th & was also  going thru some other tough times & lorazepam was prescribed for anxiety. I am in no way a drug addict or alcoholic.  I have a clean driving record & no other convictions. I am a 10 yr veteran of the US Marine Corps having joined fresh out of high school at 17 yo.  I've been driving trucks for over 40 yrs & taken over 2 dozen drug screens & NEVER failed a one! I therefore plead with the court to drop these charges .
