Thousands lost their homes and continue to do so via the California fires.  PG&E has been responsible for many of these. Individuals had to seek attorneys to deal with PG&E.

Doug LaMalfa and many GOP voted in the Tax Reform Bill of 2018.  What Doug LaMalfa did was take away any tax deduction for attorney fees, but he still upheld claiming full settlements as income. Big Biz can still deduct attorney fees but the little guy cannot do so. 

This is devastating to all current and future survivors depending on settlement to rebuild and get their lives back. They won't be able to do so now, thanks to Doug LaMalfa and the GOP. Ex: 90K settlement. After taxes, you will get about 14K. Who can rebuild on 14K.

Doug LaMalfa has proven, at the time we needed his no vote the most, he sided with the wealthy. It is time to let Doug know we will not accept anyone who created such hardship for their own voters and Constituents.
