CA Republicans who voted to remove Wildfire Victim Tax Deductions Should Step Down
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Yesterday, 110,000 Californians were forced to evacuate their homes due to wildfires. Also yesterday, these 11 California House Republicans, some representing districts with active burns, voted to remove tax deductions for wildfire losses, meaning those who lose their homes in these and future fires will not be able to claim any tax deduction for that. This is cruel and unusual and an embarrassment to any kind of human decency. As such, they should step down as representatives of this state and special elections should be held in their districts to replace them.
We, the undersigned, request that these 11 representatives step down before January 1st, 2018 for this atrocious attack on the people of the state of California.
