Community members signing this petition believe that Joel Barlow High School needs to change our quarantine guidelines.

Our current guidelines say if you are "close contacted" you must quarantine for 14 days. No test can get you back. The CDC says you can reduce your quarantine guidelines to ten days with no test or seven days with a negative PCR test. The PCR test must be taken 5 days or more into quarantine. The people who make this call for Barlow are Doug Hartline the town health inspector and our superintendent, Dr. Harrison.

Our long quarantine guidelines affect kids' ability to learn well, and also their ability to participate in extra curricular activities and sports, especially right now during the spring season.
