There are so many reasons people NEED to get their licenses - for work, for school, for helping out with the family, etc. THEY ARE ESSENTIAL. We are sick and tired of booking and rebooking our drive tests just to have them cancelled over and over again. It’s really all down to luck now, if you happen to book it for a week we’re not in lockdown. Not only that, drive tests can be done SAFELY. It is only two people, both are wearing masks, you’re either in your own car or in an instructor’s which is sanitized after every student, and there is (or should be) to plexiglass between the two people. If we can be outside with 5 people, shop in grocery stores, and go to work (for example, I can still work at McDonald’s with 10 or more people in a small space), then we should be able to reopen drive tests! Our plans, daily lives, and futures are at stake.
