Lower G1 Age From 16 to 15
We believe young drivers should be allowed on the road. Learning driving from a young age can lead to less traffic incidents in the future, with young drivers having more experience. It is important to have experience driving from a young age, as it is a very useful skill. A person can save another's life just by being in the car. A lot of people have a passion for driving, and driving from a young age is very common in smaller countries, and believe it or not, the accidents by population is less overall then Canada's.
Having a G1 at 15, G2 at 17 and a fully developed G at 18 can benefit us all, as a community, here in Ontario.
Having teenagers drive legally instead of illegally will lead to less accidents, since they will have something to prove they are legally allowed to drive, instead of just pulling evasive maneuvers to hide from officers.
Keeping the same restrictions as before, or maybe even harsher restrictions, can protect us all. I believe we can be a part of a safer community and have less underage driving incidents, by decreasing the driving age by just one year.
Exposing a developing mind to the art of driving at a developing age can lead to safer driving engrained in the mindset, having a generally safer population.
I hope everyone reading this agrees with my opinion, and we can get this petition mainstream.
