Drive ins have recently been announced to shutdown as of Saturday April 3rd 2021. With being much more of a covid friendly environment along with staff helping to monitor social distancing throughout the night, and offering a delivery service the government should allow these outdoor theatres to remain open. They have been grouped in with indoor theatres although the environment and ability to social distance is much different, vehicles are social distanced, capacity has also been reduced by more than half. It has been stated that malls will be able to remain open despite the fact that they hold a larger capacity as well as no one monitoring washrooms for people to social distance. We believe it would be great to keep drive ins open due to how they follow with there restrictions and protocols to keep a calm and a healthy environment.
