Steven Smith started this petition to Doug Ford

During the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic the Federal Government of Canada deemed that $2,000 a month was the bare minimum that the people of Canada would need to survive.

The disabled people of Ontario who cannot work are being forced to survive on $1,169. With the costs of everything going through the roof, Premier Doug Ford doesn't think that we, some of the most vulnerable in our society deserve to be treated equally. We are constantly treated as 3rd class citizens and looked down on by ALL levels of government in Ontario and Canada for that matter.

We didn't chose to be disabled and if given the chance, most if not all of us would be over the moon happy to be able to work again. I was a cook turned Chef for over 30 years and I would do anything to step back into a professional kitchen. Unfortunately I am at the end stages of Coronary Artery Disease among other ailments and can never cook professionally again. Personally,  I have been going up to a week without food every month since Covid-19 hit Canada. This is NOT good for someone who has serious heart issues. I am extremely high risk and have had to spend almost as much on cleaning supplies as I do for food.

I am asking any decent people with a heart to help speak up for the disabled people of Ontario and Canada. We are struggling and we are not well. We need government support now more than ever.

Please help us !!!
