Fighting Against Education Cuts

Doug Ford's recent cuts to education will result in a variety of challenges for students and families across the province of Ontario. Some of the main areas that this new plan will modify in the school system includes increased class sizes, new and limited curriculum, implementation of negative policies, fewer course selection options, and cuts to OSAP loans. Throughout middle school and high school education, students would expect to see class sizes grow immensely which would decrease the amount of student to teacher interaction and support. High school students would also expect to see a decrease in the variety of courses offered. College and university students would face a vast amount of barriers while looking for ways to fund their education. OSAP cuts will also result in larger classes and fewer professors across all schools.
