ECE spend countless hours planning different activities that support each child with their development. When an educators is in a kindergarten classroom, they get looked down on by others as they are just the help and the teacher in the classroom gets all the praise from families and other co-workers. People often don’t realize that an ECE spends a lot of their time helping each child discover who they really are, and they help each child develop to their fullest potential. Early childhood educators are often pushed aside when it comes to getting the recognition they deserve.

ECE are not just a ”professional” babysitter:

•“Educators that are in the kindergarten classrooms always get looked down on and the actual teacher in the classroom gets all the praise  even if it was the educator that did something  with/for the children” (Raymer, 2020)

ECE’s that work for before and after school programs don’t get a set room where they can keep materials

•“DECE participants also reported a lack of materials, “makeshift” learning spaces and limited ability to make classroom modifications as common challenges that affect their ability to provide quality care and learning” (Association of Early Childhood Education, 2016)

ECE’s help your child develop to their fullest potential

•“While children are under the care of the educators, they spend the days working with children to further their development with their cognitive, emotional, social, physical,  and gross and fine motor skills” (Raymer, 2020)
