Karen Jutzi started this petition to Doug Ford and

Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce spoke on 680 with Richard Sutherland, saying that he would love to visit schools but he wouldn't because he is "non-essential staff".  However, he said he would visit if this was lifted.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Education Minister Stephen Lecce have not provided the necessary funds for the anywhere near the appropriate social distancing that is required in every other public space during this pandemic, yet they are insisting that their back-to-school plan is "robust".  They have also not hired enough additional caretakers to meaningfully deal with the disinfecting required (roughly 1 per every 4 schools), and have supplied just 1% of the funding needed to deal with poor ventilation issues.

Since they have such great confidence in the safety of these schools, both Ford and Lecce should be declared essential workers in every school so that they may daily visit Ontario schools, preferably the oldest and most worn down schools, in order to view first-hand the magnificence of their plans.  If their plan provides an environment that is good enough for health of the 2 million students of this province and the 200k education workers and all of their families, that environment should be good enough for Ford and Lecce and their families.

Sign below if you agree that Premier Ford and education Minister Lecce should be granted regular access to the schools that they have funded when classes begin and take advantage of such access on a regular basis.
