The problem I wish to solve are the mental health issues in Canadian post secondary schools. 85% of Canadians agree that mental health systems are among the most underfunded in the healthcare system. 46% of post secondary students who reported feeling too depressed to fully function in 2016 went up from 40% in 2013. 75% of mental health problems appear before the age of 25, which is in  perfect range before and slightly after graduation from post secondary schools. 65% of post secondary students who reported overwhelming anxiety in 2016 are up from 58% in in 2013. 68% of Canadians will go to a post secondary school. Chances are, you are planning to as well. Do you really want to go to a post secondary school where you end up feeling too depressed to fully function? or experience overwhelming anxiety? What about the parents/guardians? do you want your child to go to a post secondary school with a mental health system that is one of the most underfunded among the healthcare system? one that causes your children overwhelming anxiety? if not, sign this petition to add more funding to the mental health system. Remember, these students are our future. So lets make sure the future is bright.
