I’m signing because the climate situation demands an urgent response. Things have to change before 2040. It’s false economy to aim for this date when we will have to spend so much money on mitigation, rehousing, health etc as the effects of CC start to bite. It has to be 2030.

I'm signing because 2040 is simply too late. Climate change is already causing starvation, death, hardship, disease and specie loss and extinction across the world.

I'm signing because aiming for zero carbon by 2040 may be too late. Why not aim for carbon neutral by 2030 and be as sure as we can of saving our planet? Thanks to the Dorset Council for all all you are doing so far.

I'm doing lots personally to combat climate change but it has to be a group effort. There is no time, we have to act now.

We are truly in an emergency and unless we all take collective responsibility for change, it will not happen.
