Our neighborhood’s traffic has increased as a cut through from Ladson Rd to Patriot Pkwy. The crosswalk to Joseph Pye Elementary is in the middle of a curve with changing elevation. With the amount of cars traveling through the neighborhood, speeding, it is not safe to have over 100 small age children walking to school. The neighborhood is growing and for the residents in Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the neighborhood, walking their child to school can take approximately an hour and a half before they get back home. The car rider line starts backing up at 6am and traffic on Patriot Pkwy is horrible. It’s not safe making a left out of the neighborhood.  Having a school bus would reduce traffic on Patriot Pkwy, the car rider line, keep children safe and kee them out of the elements walking to school.  School buses already cut through, why not pick up children.
