We need to contain COVID-19. 

Curfews, localized quarantine measures, and closings for non-essential businesses do not control the continued spread of COVID-19 as these measures do not completely isolate individuals. There are currently 3,487 cases in 49 states (CDC) and without a policy to enforce individuals to quarantine there is a perpetual risk for individuals to continue to spread COVID-19 to each other.

This, therefore, creates an indefinite decrease in the ability for businesses, both small and large, to operate, and a prolonged shut down of some of the most integral aspects of daily life. If COVID-19 is not contained, a recession is imminent. Those living paycheck to paycheck will not be able to provide for themselves and the lives of our precious loved ones will continually be at stake.

Enforce a mandatory national quarantine. By sacrificing 2-3 weeks in isolation, we are saving ourselves and our nation from months and months of prolonged sickness.

We need to act with swift vigilance and attack the problem at its core.
