Blake Glickman started this petition to Donald Trump/ Iranian Government+ Army

I don't want to go to war. That much should be said. I don't want people to lose their lives because Trump ordered an airstrike on an Iranian official. I happen to live near a large metropolitan area and the blast radius from any nuclear bomb would kill me easily. Now, I know the chances of a bomb being dropped are slim to none, but it's never zero. I also happen to be of a relatively young age. I don't want my potential and the potential of my peers or countless others to be squandered. I have my whole life ahead of me. Think about the implications war could have. The future leaders of the world, lawyers, doctors, presidents. Gone. Even people who grow up to be regular, functioning members of society may never be able to do so. It's super sad to see the new decade start off with maybe the scariest news I've ever heard. Now, I know some would normally be on Trump's side with this scenario, but I would love to know any benefits that could come out of this war besides bragging rights. Which, by the way, don't mean squat anyways. We all know what Trump did was wrong, and will hurt our relationship with Iran. Maybe he had reason to suspect the official he killed was up to something. But, even so, relationships with Iran could be irreparable. I hate to know what could happen soon. It makes me sick thinking about it. Now, I'm no diplomat. But, I know we need to apologize to Iran for what we did. We also need to give them a gift to try to promote peace. I don't know what that will be yet, but maybe something like a monument could be a good start. Also, we need to support Iran and maybe give them a discount on trading. Lastly, we need to become allies with Iran. To support any way we can. It might take money and time, but it will definitely be worth it in order to save countless lives. Basically, the bottom line is that we need to apologize to Iran, give them a gift of peace, and then help them and become allies with them to prevent something like this from happening again. Thanks for reading, and I really hope you'll support my cause!
