Paul Manafort verdict:

• 5 counts tax fraud: Guilty
• 2 counts bank fraud: Guilty
• 1 count failure to disclose foreign bank account: Guilty
• 10 counts: Jury unable to reach consensus

Manafort did commit multiple crimes—he is guilty, but he was pursued maliciously after it was found that he did not collude with Russia to subvert the 2016 American presidential election. We don't do malicious prosecution in America — or we shouldn't.

Investigations shouldn't be a fishing expedition looking for crimes.

President Trump should consider commuting Manafort's sentence. This wouldn't be a pardon, but a commutation.

Let's restore our legal system. Bob Mueller shouldn't be picking winners and losers.
