Problem
In January many chronic pain and illness sufferers had their access to opioid pain medications cut or stopped to meat CDC dosage guidelines. Since then more have had access taken even further away destroying lives and ending quality of life. Most have never abused their medications, sold their medications or failed a UA. However they were still punished and offered no recourse. These people have tried a plethora of alternative treatments and surgeries to get better to no avail. Needless suffering is contrary to the hippocratic oath doctors must take when they graduate. But we continue to suffer and have lost what quality of life we had before these flawed and barbaric guidelines were enacted. We demand access be restored to those that needlessly suffer debilitating chronic pain and illnesses.
Solution
Stop persecution of those patients with documented cases of chronic pain and illnesses. Restore the pain doctors ability to prescribe the necessary dosages to give sufferers dignity and quality of life. We dont deserve pain untreated.
Personal story
I have suffered from chronic low back and leg pain for 26 years. I'm unable to work and exist on Social Security disability. In January my pain medication dosages were cut in half. In August those medications were stopped and I was placed on alternative medication. It was the worst month of my life. I've lost the ability to get out more ofton that is absolutely necessary to see doctors and get food and prescriptions. Gone is the quality of life of going to a movie or restaurant. To visit friends and family outside of my home. Enjoying walks and exercise in the fresh air. Now is suffer alone in my home. The major accomplishment to get out of bed and shower. All for a war on opiod medication access I was never a part of except to exist. Alternative treatments have been tried and failed. Exhausting any my doctor asked me to try. I've had 33 major surgeries to try and improve my life. I refuse to give up and die although that seems what the CDC wants with this flawed and biased approach to opiod management. All those that suffer from chronic pain and illnesses demand unfettered access to opiod treatment as designed by our physicians without interference and restriction by our government. We dont deserve to live in uncontrolled pain and suffering.
