Restaurants were forced to shut down mandatorily in California, and more specifically, Riverside County for in-dining.
For those that did not have patios or have the financial ability to create a pavilion for outside dining, they are shut down without any ability to pay bills, rent or staff.
This happened to mostly independent restaurants, who do not have the deeper pockets like large restaurant chains.
The governor of California bankrupted them.
We live in America to live free and had the ability to enjoy freedom and liberties, unlike any country.
To be prevented from working is an abomination to this country and for which it stands.
It is obvious that shutting down inside dining restaurants is not working, as Covid is still increasing.
There has to be another plan.
If people want to stay home, they should. If they want to dine inside restaurants, they should be able to.
Help independent restaurateurs, or all that will be left is fast food restaurants and delivery.
Help save the independent restaurants.
It is simple, the governor shut us down, and the state government should pay our economic losses. The plan is simple, make a grant to these independent restaurants that cover the difference in their sales from the same time last year to this year.
