We are facing much, much larger issues than the Coronavirus outbreak. Our society is shutting down. People are getting restless. Grocery stores cannot keep up with demand. Children are not in school.
It is time to reopen America.
This is a failed experiment in an attempt to limit the number of deaths during flu season. Many people have already lost their jobs and many more will. These people and their families will endure economic hardships and in many cases homelessness. The economic crash, the wipe-out of retirement/pension plans, and the Washington bailouts will have a crippling effect on real folks and on the national debt. The only way out of this mess is to lower our standard of living through inflation (loss of purchasing power in the dollar) and higher taxes that will simply pay for debt rather than services.
Isolated at home, our children are not receiving a quality education. Stuck indoors, we are teaching them to fear others. This is not a healthy atmosphere for adults, but for children and teenagers the detrimental effects will be permanent. Children shouldn't grow up in a society that teaches fear, separation, and blind compliance with overreaching measures.
We have suffered enough.
There are flu deaths - hundreds of thousands - every year. This year will be no different in spite of the draconian and illegal shutdowns imposed by our governments.
There is major deception in our news about this outbreak. Our media is doing everything possible to instill an unprecedented level of fear. This level of panic would be appropriate for a scenario in which half the world's population will die, yet the number of deaths so far is at a similar pace to the yearly flu season. Even if 5% were the death rate of the Coronavirus, this reaction is not worth driving tens to hundreds of millions of people into homelessness. The true death rate is nowhere near 5% because random samplings of the public are not being tested to determine the number of people who actually have the Coronavirus - for the vast majority, only those hospitalized are being tested. The media simply reports confirmed cases vs deaths instead, leading us to believe that the mortality rate is higher than it actually is.
Recent reports estimate the true death rate from Coronavirus is under 0.2%:

Adhere to our Constitution.
The media and our leaders would like us to believe that our fundamental rights granted by the Constitution do not apply during crises. This is not true - there is no clause or exception written in the constitution that takes away or suspends our Bill of Rights and freedom to travel. Please support our Constitution and stop allowing our leaders to shut down America. We cannot bring our society and economy to a halt during every threat - otherwise we will find ourselves in a dystopian society similar to Orwell's 1984, where people fear and turn on each other as they accept the government's oppressive measures.
Please demand that states and local municipalities stop enforcing house arrests and curfews on the American public. We are not a third-world country; let's stop acting like one.
