Reinstate Capt. Brett Crozier

Reinstate Capt. Brett Crozier
It has been released that Capt. Brett Crozier, who commands the aircraft carrier, USS Roosevelt, has been relieved of his duties stating that there has been a “lack of trust and confidence” as he has pleaded for aid during the COVID-19 pandemic. There have been at least 100 confirmed cases of coronavirus on this ship.
As a Captain who is commanding nearly 5,000 sailors, it is is ultimately his duty to not only keep his ship safe and afloat, but to also bring those under his command back safely. Sailors, or any service member alike, is not a recyclable tool as the “upper chain of command” may think. Capt. Crozier has pleaded for resources and aid during this time to ensure the safety and well being of these sailors, which the response has been received negatively by the Acting Secretary of the Navy, Thomas Modley, in which he has fired Capt. Crozier from commanding the ship any longer.
It is disgraceful that a man in this position would be terminated of his duties. We are taught our core values from the moment of enlistment to which he has upheld. This is a man of integrity and that, by no means, should receive such disciplinary action.
