Dear Mr President and Congressman Hal Rogers 

We the citizens of Perry County, Kentucky, like so many other counties of Appalachia, have been seriously struck by the reduced reliance on coal as a source of energy. 

The sustained loss of jobs which has resulted from this economic shift has seriously undermined the heath and hopes of a community which is fully capable of working it’s way out of this economic crises. 

We strongly feel that if we are granted tax payer money to build a world class, motor cycle race track, in Perry County, it will not just bring lots of jobs which Perry County can locally source but also re invigorate other small and large businesses in the area.

Above all, the idea has the potential to bring hope in the minds of our youth which could  prevent them from being sucked into the world of drugs. This is not just long term investment in a very attractive business model but also in the future of the community and people whose generations have served their country, when it was needed.
