As a 46 year old disabled and retired Veteran I am on 19 different medications a day. There are more out there like me. There are more out there on a lot more.
We go to the VA and we see signs like, "Just one less (talking about medications). Ask your doctor how. However it seems like every time we go they put me on another pill.
States that have medicinal and recreational marijuana laws have see a drop in medication use for veterans. They are having great results with Anxiety, PTSD, Pain, and more.
This does not need to be limited to just certain states. The VA needs to realize Marijuana is not bad. The 19 pills I take do more damage to my health than the illnesses themselves.
It is time VETERANS get the healthcare they deserve. Stop pushing pills down our throats. Give us some relief.
The VA once had me on 90 Valium and 120 Hydrocodone a month. This is not to include the other pain killers and anxiety medications I was on. I had to taper off the Hydro. The VA is doing away with prescribing Valium stating other meds will keep anxiety at bay. The Valium took care of the Anxiety when it happened. The drugs I am on now, DO NOTHING FOR IT. My anxiety is worse.
PLEASE helps veterans come off of medications that destroy our livers, kidneys, heart, and more.
Please sign the petition. Show ALL VETERANS that you truly care.
