Shericka Davis started this petition to President Donald J. Trump and

This petition is to urge the U.S. Justice Department and BOP and state prisons to let inmates go home that are serving mandatory minimums. In March Attorney William William Barr ordered that the BOP begin letting inmates go home on home confinement to minimize the spread of cov19. The Cares Act initially stated that inmates who had mandatory minimums serve 25% of their time. By doing this it allowed alot of inmates elgible to go home. They later went back and retracted the statement saying that inmates who have a mandatory min serve 50% of their tim . Making more than half of them ineligible.

It's sad to see the number of inmates that have died in the BOP custody because they were serving mandatory minimums for drug charges.  Alot of inmates in the BOP were excited given release dates families were on their way only to be told their loved one wouldn't be coming home. Some have died health needs while others have children waiting on them.  They can't have family visits maybe two or three phone calls a week. They are only allowed out maybe three times a week at the BOP's discretion.  I know alot of people will judge these individuals.  I heard people say they don't matter. But they do. Bunter FCI 14 inmates that have died.  Elkton FCI 9 Fort Worth FMC 11. This should not be a death sentence for these men and women.

About a week after U.S. Marshals transferred Andrea Circle Bear from a jail in South Dakota to a federal prison in Fort Worth, the pregnant inmate was sent to a nearby hospital with a high fever.
On March 28, doctors sent Circle Bear, who was serving a two-year sentence on a drug-related charge, back to Federal Medical Center Carswell, a federal prison equipped to provide medical care to incarcerated women, KXAS reported. Three days later, prison medical staff saw that she had developed a fever, dry cough and other covid-19-like symptoms, the Bureau of Prisons said in a statement Tuesday.

She returned that day to the hospital, where she was placed on a ventilator. On April 1, doctors performed an emergency Caesarean section to deliver her premature baby, the bureau said. She tested positive for the novel coronavirus on April 4. The U.S Department of Justice Attorney William Barr. Donald Trump you guys should answer for why these people are dying. Please let's change these laws! Please sign..
