Vaping, we have all heard of it, we all know what it is. But, do we really know how harmful it is? Vaping pens, vaping mods, to pod systems, etc. All of this is harmful to our bodies. As of October 29, 2019, officials counted at least 1,888 cases of vaping-related injuries in every state except Alaska as well as in the District of Columbia the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to the CDC. Vaping isn’t only targeted at adults. Actually, teenagers are the ones who are really addicted! Whether it be from peer pressure, doing it because they want to, or just thinking it makes them look cool, it’s a problem, it is harming their lives and the people around them. This needs to stop! Thirty-seven deaths have been confirmed in 24 states and the District of Columbia. In New York, a 17-year-old male from the Bronx was the first teenager to die. He was hospitalized early September, and readmitted late September. Unfortunately, on October 4th 2019, he passed away. Nearly three dozen people have died from vaping-related lung illnesses as the nationwide outbreak that continues to grow. On October 17th, the CDC announced that the outbreak's death toll has climbed to 33, up from 26 deaths reported the week before. This is a growing problem that needs to stop! I know many people who vape on a daily. I know many people who smoked regular cigarettes and have unfortunately passed away because of this. Don’t let this get any worse then it already is. What if it was someone you loved, vaping, would you want that for them? Think about that, as you are doing so, sign this petition, make a change, save a life!
