Every so often, our representatives in Congress fail to pass a budget, and thus, the government shuts down. When this happens, good people loose their source of income because they work for the government. Many of these people live paycheck to paycheck. In a mater of days their lives can be ruined.

And while all of this happens, our congressmen and women keep pocketing their paychecks while others starve because of a problem they caused and refuse to fix. If these people want to talk money, let's speak their language. I propose that during government shutdown, the first paychecks to freeze should be our Congressmen and women, so as to give them an incentive to hurry and fix the problem and stop forcing other people to suffer for their shortcomings. And let me make clear, this is not about democrats Vs republicans, this is about putting the common man first, not the top Congress 1%
