In today’s society there are many dropouts from high school and in most cases many do not make it to college. Did you know 8.1% of US students dropout of high school almost each year. The percentage of dropouts each year makes the rates in the U.S extremely high year after year. There are millions of students who never graduate high school or receive a diploma. Over 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United States. Education is something that needs to be reinforced or encouraged to all because education will be their base for a successful life. Everyone should know that the key to open new doors that will make them successful is education. In order to represent and to be represented we need to be knowledgeable about every issue that can hold us back from our dreams, and this can only be attained by getting the right education. Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world”.  In the long run, education is the only thing or “weapon” that no one can take away from us.
